Lake Georgetown

Yesterday, we painted at Lake Georgetown, just north of Austin. It was a beautiful, day with bright, sunny skies and just enough wind to keep it cool. The water was b deep blue-green when I started painting, and then turned a paler blue-gray as the clouds started to appear. One of the biggest challenges of plein air painting is the constantly changing light. I was attracted to the rocks and then found them to be quite difficult, but fun to paint.
