Plein air painting at Blue Hole Park

I met up with the Austin Plein air group today in Georgetown. It was a great day, partly cloudy and pleasant temperature (that means, less than 100 degrees in August in central Texas).

I painted with a palette knife, which is fun and freeing! The result is thick, juicy paint and lots of texture.
